J.Crew opening in Hong Kong + Cos arriving soon...

I'm in the Hamptons, the home of the prepster crew, so it seems fitting that the news broke about J.Crew landing in Hong Kong at Lane Crawford this October. I quizzed the New York girls on what they buy there...classic tees are a hit, so are the jewels, the cece ballet flats are the comfiest around and everyone loves the cashmere. So there you go, get excited Hong Kong...Cos arriving soon too, opening on Thursday 28th June.

There are so many to choose from. I'd just pick this one. I love all the designers (Madeleine Thomspon, Flaunt, nude is rude, niin, Marielle Byworth and more...) plus we love The Space. I'm off on a little holiday now (yes bloggers can take time off) so keep warm, don't be naughty and see you soon x

aberdeen is cool

There's something happening in Aberdeen. Everyone I know is looking at New York style warehouse apartments off Hueng Yip Road, Andrea, the hottest Italian in Hong Kong, runs his private dining empire in a very cool space round the corner (Cuore Private Chef - make sure you have his Grandmothers lasagna), Flex opened a yoga and pilates studio nearby, and now the arrival of Mirth. As you know I love a new find, I popped in on Saturday to see Kylie, she's been here 11 years and runs her own children's clothing label. Her and her business partner had had their eye on the space below for a while, and 2 weeks ago they unveiled a new interiors and lifestyle store. A stylish combination of cashmere, unusual gifts, bags, cards, furniture, children's clothes, and what my mother would call "nick nacks", make it a new secretstylist fave. I spied Lisa Stickley, Love Molly cashmere, rustic wooden tables, huge stools in bright prints, tall lamps, pretty paper flowers and stylish well-priced cards, which, for some reason there is a total lack of in Hong Kong. So Aberdeen is the new black. Star Street is soooooo 2010. Mirth, The Mezzanine Floor, Yip Kan Street, Wong Chuk Hang, 2553 9811.

If I cover an entire ceiling in pink paper flowers will the husband flip?

I want this grey table, so don't you dare buy it!

cuddle in cashmere

Blue skies and no humidity, that's why we love October. The boots are out and so is the cashmere. I met the girls last night for our regular catch up, we snort with laughter (attractive), gossip, and generally put the world to rights. As we hugged goodbye they stroked my soft cashmere cardi, commenting on how gorgeous it was, its my M&S fave. They've got a new one this year, no buttons, just draped (see below), its around HK$1,200, I've worn mine to death so cost per wear makes it very much worth it. If you are too cool for M&S then check out Madeleine Thompson cashmere, I recently wore her cashmere woodstock gillet (see below) and got millions of compliments. You can't get better than that.

Apologies for the rather un-glam shot, you get the idea!
