People keep quizzing me about the best ones. I've spied denim at Zara, tunic style by Tibi (I've seen this on people in the village and it looks great), dress at Mango (the sale just started), another dress by Reformation (love), simple black top at Topshop (they also have dresses and playsuits), pretty print at Dvf, and popular with the bloggers - stripes at Asos.

I am always being quizzed about summer jackets. Slim pickings this year but I saw this one above by Masscob at KJ's Laundry in The Times, a Madewell kimono style, sort of light denim relaxed number (amazing description) at Reformation, smarter linen blazer option by Club Monaco, cropped knit at Hush and another blue print at Mango. Lulu Kennedy just launched a collection with M&S and I love this one, if you need something a bit more structured this linen blazer at J Crew is a good bet. Cos has a cropped pink/red print option here and this mesh one caught my eye...

zara culotte-style jumpsuit

I have always been a fan of the jumpsuit. Easy, cool and great for summer when my legs are illuminous white. Wintery ones are harder to find but this deep V, culotte-style at Zara is gorgeous. I would dress it down with a leather jacket, it could easily work for meetings, dinner, christmas parties, black tie weddings...also check out this Mango one and this Splendid number. 

cool coats

I've been asked to pick some coats and cover ups for fall/autumn/before we have to embrace the enormous puff coat...so here you go. Camel cardigan style at Zara, powder blue at Asos, a bit of leopard at Mango, something smart (and whoop...grey) at Maje, love this half coat thing at Emerson Fry too, or a sheepskin gilet/vest at Whistles. I've been living in my blanket cape and get lots of compliments...plus a few odd looks ;)

Still not convinced by slides? Nope, me neither. Instead I would love to buy a pair of these... or these. Bit of detail, cushioned, zip at back...fab. 

new shorts

My friend Rosie was staying this weekend so we pottered around Soho and the village. She bought this ridiculously pretty dress and I ended up buying the Jacquard shorts below. Also spied this pair for a smarter take on the denim look - Chambray shorts with scalloped hem, this (brave but rather gorgeous) Leather short and these casual Gap ones.

Mango does it again. It does have fairly intense shoulder pads though. The print would also make a great cushion ;)

Mango is having a bit of a moment this season. I really want to buy the short dungarees (they do a long version too) and one of the white lacy tops....
