Slightly chilly weather out there. I've spied this sleeveless tunic style at Whistles (great with culottes), this stripe by Cheap Monday (similar to the YSL or Chloe one), this chunky white by Topshop Unique (which has been spotted on a lot of editors) simple stripes at APC, classic grey ribbed knit by Maje (above) and the high street cashmere hero at Uniqlo.

Crochet...culottes...jumpsuit, reminds me a little bit of this. Selling out fast at Topshop. This is also great at Whistles, a more relaxed style at Zara (spied last night here it looked great), floral print by Asos, smarter by Tibi. We just need our summer to sort itself out :)

People keep quizzing me about the best ones. I've spied denim at Zara, tunic style by Tibi (I've seen this on people in the village and it looks great), dress at Mango (the sale just started), another dress by Reformation (love), simple black top at Topshop (they also have dresses and playsuits), pretty print at Dvf, and popular with the bloggers - stripes at Asos.

So there's chambray with scallop edge at Club Monaco (in the sale, other colours available, Gap are also doing a similar style), silk print by Rag & Bone, white embroidery at Boden, denim boyfriends at Madewell, white denim Current Elliott or short-short-short-never-bend-down-or-eat denim at Free People. High waisted smarter denim at Pixie Market, stripes by Zara, a great print at Asos, or a culotte style, also at Asos. Simple navy linen by Whistles, dalmatian print by Andotherstories, or these at Hush which sell out every summer.

Gladiator tie-to-the-thigh sandals, it might take 45 minutes to leave the house but they are capable of hiding all signs of drunkenly applied fake tan. I love these styles:

self portrait - a london label to love

If you are still in search of a party outfit you might just love Self Portrait. I keep sending my clients in their direction and they are loving the meshy bits, the showy but not showy panels (both highly technical terms ;) ) and midi lengths. New Yorkers haven't caught onto this London label yet, although since featuring them here there has been a lot of buzz. Self Portait sells at Asos and there are a few in the sale….have a great weekend x

avoid phone chin...buy a polo neck

Great for hiding double chins (a serious hazard whilst reading phones and walking), very cosy, hair tucking at back is optional. The polo neck/turtle neck. So glad they are back in. I saw some great styles as Asos and Zara here, here, here and here, oh and here. Look out for the Uniqlo collaboration with Ines de La Fressange, the cashmere big turtle neck sweater is perfect and available in November. If you want to splurge, this one from Acne Studios is gorgeous (and 15% off at My-Wardrobe at the mo)...

I've been asked to pick some coats and cover ups for fall/autumn/before we have to embrace the enormous puff coat...so here you go. Camel cardigan style at Zara, powder blue at Asos, a bit of leopard at Mango, something smart (and whoop...grey) at Maje, love this half coat thing at Emerson Fry too, or a sheepskin gilet/vest at Whistles. I've been living in my blanket cape and get lots of compliments...plus a few odd looks ;)

I know the model looks about seven but the dress is great, nice fabric, very floaty, perfect for summer over a bikini (it is a little see-through to wear around town.) I spied it on Delighted Momma which someone forwarded on to me recently after reading this story (a must-read for mothers). Asos Premium Swing Dress - there are a few sizes left and they have Petite version too.
