I've been living in this dress recently. Great V, especially at the back as its quite low, and I love a dress with pockets. I saw it in a fairly new boutique on Greenwich Avenue called Personnel of New York. Lovely stuff. The dress is by Alternative Apparel.

Leopard print was owned for years by my glam and slightly bonkers PR boss in HK. I can just about wear it now. the little black dress...for summer

Maybe I've been in New York too long but I love black in summer. Simple, chic, easy in crazy heats and perfect for running around after little ones. Poppy rocks the skater dress from Topshop. I've also seen this tank dress by James Perse, this silk maxi in the sale at J Crew and I love love love this crochet-cotton dress by Etoile Isabel Marant pictured below. Really pretty top at Pixie Market. Would look great with shorts, skinny jeans (especially white), over a bikini etc etc. Plus bell sleeves mean slim arms...whoop.

My friend Rosie was staying this weekend so we pottered around Soho and the village. She bought this ridiculously pretty dress and I ended up buying the Jacquard shorts below. Also spied this pair for a smarter take on the denim look - Chambray shorts with scalloped hem, this (brave but rather gorgeous) Leather short and these casual Gap ones.

great summer dress by asos premium

I know the model looks about seven but the dress is great, nice fabric, very floaty, perfect for summer over a bikini (it is a little see-through to wear around town.) I spied it on Delighted Momma which someone forwarded on to me recently after reading this story (a must-read for mothers). Asos Premium Swing Dress - there are a few sizes left and they have Petite version too. Really pretty palm print at Warehouse, they do a top and dress too. Breaking news...I went for a facial at Caudalie. No wonder the waiting list is decades long, it was great, my skin is all glowy and dewey...or is that the humidity...anyway, if you are in need of a treat I would head to their Bleecker boutique.

Just bought this top at Mango and am loving it, tempted by the floaty shorts too...I will be preparing my pale pins with this fake tan by La Mer. Pricey yep, but I've read great reviews, it lacks the biscuit/wee smell and doesn't streak. Amazing.
