little black boots

Sorry to bang on about shoes again but I had a sudden urge to buy some new short boots. I love wearing them at this time of year, they add a little autumn to your look, and yet you can wear them with bare legs, shorts, skirts (perfect with this season's pencil skirt) and dresses. I have a great camel pair and some grey Zara ones which I wear constantly, so its about time to search for a pair of little black boots...

1 - foxy cut-outs by Joseph at Net-A-Porter (GBP 495)
2 - chelsea boots by Topshop (GBP 55)
3 - studded wonders by Sam Edelman at My-Wardrobe (GBP 215)
4 - sleek and snakey by Christian Louboutin at Net-A-Porter (GBP 1095 ... OUCH)
5 - look way more expensive than they are by Zara (GBP 69.99)
6 - suede and simple by Aldo (GBP 70)

mcqueen rocks royal wedding

After slight grumblings last week I absolutely loved the royal wedding on Friday, as you might have guessed by the enthusiastic tweeting.10/10 to Kate for choosing the talented Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, styling her dress on Grace Kelly's, picking a very simple bouquet with lily-of-the-valley flowers, allowing her sister to rock that incredible dress, wearing a stunning short veil and doing her own make-up.

Pippa's dress was undoubtedly my favourite

The guests could have done with a touch of Kate's elegance, there was a mass of shiny-naff-mother-of-the-bride-1980's floral going on...mmmmmm and some choice hats!

However, I did love:

Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe in Matthew Williamson (pity a few others wore it too, but she wore it best)

Arabella Musgrove rocking red

Victoria Beckham, wearing one of her own designs, a Philip Treacy hat and shoes by Christian Louboutin

A lesson in how to do pregnancy dressing well, Marina Fogle in Issa with a glam trench

Nude lace was a perfect on-trend choice by Princess Maxima of the Netherlands

Charlene Wittstock looking simple and elegant in grey

The Spencer blondes added some glamour and impressive headwear

and I couldn't resist linking to this...too cute...
