faithfull the brand

Faithfull The Brand makes me want to move to a small island and live in a hut. With a years supply of fake tan. Anyway, this is the Fall collection above and it is available for pre-order now. If you are still at the beach, I love these shirt dress | leopard kimono | off-the-shoulder top | riviera skirt

the best off the shoulder

People keep quizzing me about the best ones. I've spied denim at Zara, tunic style by Tibi (I've seen this on people in the village and it looks great), dress at Mango (the sale just started), another dress by Reformation (love), simple black top at Topshop (they also have dresses and playsuits), pretty print at Dvf, and popular with the bloggers - stripes at Asos.

white summer dressing

If you missed out on the top they've just added the dress version here. If you prefer more structure this one-shoulder dress is exactly like the Tibi one, or you could try this jumpsuit. Pack the wet wipes and don't sit down anywhere. How very relaxing.

stella mccartney resort 2016 in elizabeth street garden

Stella does it again, love these shapes. See more pics here from the party in Elizabeth Street Garden, a great spot in Little Italy. We love this one hidden away in the village. You've got to love a secret garden when you live in this city :)

wedding outfits and that self-portrait dress...

How annoying. The Times (and everyone on the planet) featured my Self-Portrait summer dress of dreams, and yep it has nearly sold out. The label I wrote about here is now literally everywhere. This one above is another contender, just as gorgeous, and so is the midi skirt.

I love the idea of a romper/short jumpsuit for weddings. Pandora Sykes looked great in this Temperley London one. You can add these flats and lunge on the dance floor all night. Paul and Joe Sister have a print one which you could dress up with a simple jacket. I also have my eye on all the culottes around, Tibi (in the sale), Whistles and Asos have great selections, just add dramatic shoes. Absolutely no fascinators allowed ;)

shopping at cos..and finding great black trousers

I just found the best black trousers at Cos, maybe not a Memorial Day must-have but there you go. I popped into their Soho store and loved...this jumpsuit, this print, this metallic coat, this dress, this top, and this cut-out one, and these sandals. The culottes and jewels looked great too.

yippeeeeee

It is actually warm outside. I can finally venture out without thermals and a grumpy face. Time to snap up this summer dress, would look great with these too and these earrings.

self portrait - a london label to love

If you are still in search of a party outfit you might just love Self Portrait. I keep sending my clients in their direction and they are loving the meshy bits, the showy but not showy panels (both highly technical terms ;) ) and midi lengths. New Yorkers haven't caught onto this London label yet, although since featuring them here there has been a lot of buzz. Self Portait sells at Asos and there are a few in the sale….have a great weekend x

party outfits

Everyone is asking me about party outfits. "No LBD, something unique, don't want to look boring…please...thank you Lucy"
Black culotte jumpsuit by Pixie Market
Bead and sequin sparkler at Asos (or just the clutch is cool)
Leopard by Rag & Bone
Slightly bonkers but fun by Sadie Williams at & Other Stories
Metallic snake jumpsuit at Topshop
Something relaxed (add crazy shoes to fox it up a little) at Day Birger et Mikkelsen
Red lace wonder at Pixie Market
Feather top (add a midi (this is amazing and blush and black always work) by Tibi
Winter white (add big jewels, berry lips and high high heels) at Hush
If you don't fancy buying new clothes just grab a new clutch (furry or feathery or tasseled) or add some pom poms to your shoes. Yep.

The dress pictured above is Chanel. Go for your life.

If I buy this for my man I can totally borrow it…

that whistles coat (...plus sales!)

This coat makes me want to wear a ridiculous dress, high high heels and drink cocktails in an old fashioned UES bar. Whistles are offering 25% off until 6 Oct with code WH25AW14. You might also like these lace culottes, this off the shoulder top, this knit dress, this lace top or this navy fedora. denim dress at personnel of new york

I've been living in this dress recently. Great V, especially at the back as its quite low, and I love a dress with pockets. I saw it in a fairly new boutique on Greenwich Avenue called Personnel of New York. Lovely stuff. The dress is by Alternative Apparel.

leopard is a neutral

Leopard print was owned for years by my glam and slightly bonkers PR boss in HK. I can just about wear it now. If you fancy adding it to your wardrobe try this beautiful scarf, which is half price at Lily & Lionel, these espadrilles by Soludos or this maxi dress at Marks & Spencer (as seen on Sheer Luxe), always go with earthy tones rather then the orangey ones.

the little black dress...for summer

Maybe I've been in New York too long but I love black in summer. Simple, chic, easy in crazy heats and perfect for running around after little ones. Poppy rocks the skater dress from Topshop. I've also seen this tank dress by James Perse, this silk maxi in the sale at J Crew and I love love love this crochet-cotton dress by Etoile Isabel Marant pictured below. Happy 4th of July, hope you have a great long weekend x

great summer dress by asos premium

I know the model looks about seven but the dress is great, nice fabric, very floaty, perfect for summer over a bikini (it is a little see-through to wear around town.) I spied it on Delighted Momma which someone forwarded on to me recently after reading this story (a must-read for mothers). Asos Premium Swing Dress - there are a few sizes left and they have Petite version too. Have a lovely weekend x
