the best summer jackets

I am always being quizzed about summer jackets. Slim pickings this year but I saw this one above by Masscob at KJ's Laundry in The Times, a Madewell kimono style, sort of light denim relaxed number (amazing description) at Reformation, smarter linen blazer option by Club Monaco, cropped knit at Hush and another blue print at Mango. Lulu Kennedy just launched a collection with M&S and I love this one, if you need something a bit more structured this linen blazer at J Crew is a good bet. Cos has a cropped pink/red print option here and this mesh one caught my eye...

gladiators

Gladiator tie-to-the-thigh sandals, it might take 45 minutes to leave the house but they are capable of hiding all signs of drunkenly applied fake tan. I love these styles:

in search of a stylish iPhone case

iPhone covers…slightly dull purchase but lets be honest you will be looking at it every day…a mult-million-trillion times. I have had lots of compliments on this one by the Rifle Paper Co., this marble one is also very stylish (spied by The Frugality), I like this print at J Crew. 

Oh and there is always Lanvin.

Just enough sequins to stop you jumping off a cliff in January, pink to warm the complexion, comes in grey (gasp) and navy too…oh and its 42 dollars in the sale. Thanks J Crew.

Oh look, some more grey knitwear, but its got zips, and its 25% off....slight zip obsession at the moment, husband calls me Zippy. I like the cream version, and I also love this bright vintage-style clutch (in the sale too), you can also monogram it, which New Yorkers love to do :) 

the little black dress...for summer

Maybe I've been in New York too long but I love black in summer. Simple, chic, easy in crazy heats and perfect for running around after little ones. Poppy rocks the skater dress from Topshop. I've also seen this tank dress by James Perse, this silk maxi in the sale at J Crew and I love love love this crochet-cotton dress by Etoile Isabel Marant pictured below. Happy 4th of July, hope you have a great long weekend x

pretty summer tops at pixie market and j.crew

Really pretty top at Pixie Market. Would look great with shorts, skinny jeans (especially white), over a bikini etc etc. Plus bell sleeves mean slim arms...whoop.

My New York shopping time has been temporarily curtailed due to the fact that I have been flat hunting like a maniac, it is soooo much more expensive than Hong Kong and if anything is good you have to snap it up that minute and go for interviews! Mental. Anyway, I did spy that J.Crew is now shipping to the UK (unfortunately not Hong Kong yet (although they are on Net-A-Porter) but if you have nice UK based buddies you can always offer to get them shoes made in exchange for becoming your shipping agent) so I thought I'd take a look, here are my colourful Autumn picks...
