the best boots
Despite the 70s trend this season for chunky heels and knee highs, I am still asked a lot about flat/ low heeled boots to wear every day. If you are looking for the classic Isabel Marant style try these at Topshop, or this lower heeled boot at Boden. Madewell have some great choices, love these grey suede ones (in the sale too), these are very similar to the Rag & Bone style last year, plus these are very Marant ish. Sheer Luxe are offering 15% off (until the end of September) this lovely pair of charcoal suede boots at Seven Boot Lane. If you prefer a heel, I love the ones pictured above, and found a very similar pair here at Ash.

rocking animal print
Animal print belongs to my boss during my days at Grebstad Hicks. Lynn wore it well, head to toe, 365 days a year! I love injecting a bit of animal print into my wardrobe, and this season there are some great options around. Try a semi-subtle scarf, a blatant jean or a super subtle boot...
This gorgeous scarf by Lily and Lionel (who I love), in the sale at The Outnet
I saw a girl wearing these at the weekend and they looked incredible! By Current Elliott, the grey ones, from Matches
Isabel Marant boots at Barneys. Enough said.

new york style...cowboy boots
It is that amazing chilly-but-bright blue skies and sunny weather at the moment. Great for wearing cosy cashmere, a fur gillet and boots...boots...boots. Check out these cowboy boots which Emily bought in Nashville a few weeks ago at Boots 'N' More. I found some elegantly battered (yep) ones for $15 in this amazing Housing Works thrift store. In London try R.Soles on the King's Road. Where can you buy them in Hong Kong?

the perfect date outfit
A styling client, who cannot be named due to the fact she has multiple dates this week (soup man, cute GQ man and sunday night guy), needed a new (sexy, but subtle) date outfit. She loves Zara so we hunted and found:
She has some leather trousers so I teamed this with them, it has a gorgeous low back
I picked a cosy coat to keep her warm
The leather trousers looked best with suede booties (as opposed to leather ones), we spotted some lace-up black ones with a wedge heel and these. We chose a low heel for dancing late into the night...

diy or buy?
I am completely in love with these boots from Barneys Co-op which I spied here, she might make them, you might make them (would you?), but I think I'd just buy them...

little black boots
Sorry to bang on about shoes again but I had a sudden urge to buy some new short boots. I love wearing them at this time of year, they add a little autumn to your look, and yet you can wear them with bare legs, shorts, skirts (perfect with this season's pencil skirt) and dresses. I have a great camel pair and some grey Zara ones which I wear constantly, so its about time to search for a pair of little black boots...

stylish wellington boots?
Whether (ha) you are in Hong Kong, New York or London you are bound to get caught in a downpour, soak your glam heels and contemplate a pair of Wellington boots. I used to giggle at girls in HK in their Chanel numbers, but in NYC I've actually seen some super stylish girls in wellies (think draped lightweight sweater dress, tanned legs) and it is almost convincing me to purchase some. Would you go classic Hunter, metallic Hunter, Jimmy Choo crocodile-print (very AW11) or blue at J.Crew?
