I am always being quizzed about summer jackets. Slim pickings this year but I saw this one above by Masscob at KJ's Laundry in The Times, a Madewell kimono style, sort of light denim relaxed number (amazing description) at Reformation, smarter linen blazer option by Club Monaco, cropped knit at Hush and another blue print at Mango. Lulu Kennedy just launched a collection with M&S and I love this one, if you need something a bit more structured this linen blazer at J Crew is a good bet. Cos has a cropped pink/red print option here and this mesh one caught my eye...

I spied these pom pom clip-ons by Cheeky Poppins (would make a great gift), these naughty jumpers, a sequin mini, an embellished clutch, some fluff (as worn above by Lucy) and I am hunting down this midnight blue gilet/vest...

I've been getting a lot of compliments on this jacket. A Zara Kids purchase (inspired by this Maje print) and, yep the arms are a bit short and I don't show the fluffy inside but its all good and warm too. The kids section often throws up some goodies (bags, hats too) and my friend swears by the junior section for interiors, she bought a rug which was entirely the same but a couple of hundred bucks cheaper. Smug.

Warehouse, a UK brand which is available on Asos, have some cracking items this season, love this shell top, this animal print knit and this gorgeous furry pink number above. 

the non biker biker jacket by jigsaw

I love a leather biker but so many of them have too many biker bits and dangly belts and stuff. Then I found this chilled out biker in a gorgeous soft leather at Jigsaw. Not a totally crazy price either.

Mango does it again. It does have fairly intense shoulder pads though. The print would also make a great cushion ;)

cos hong kong...what the fashion editors buy

So did you pop into the new Cos store in Hong Kong yesterday? Did you love it? I quizzed a few fashion editor friends in London on what they go for...they always pick up simple dresses for work, well cut jackets which look way more expensive that they are, and classic tops and trousers in great colours. They also reckon the underwear is very reasonable. So enjoy Hong Kongers! And Cos Gods...next stop NYC please...

warehouse spring summer trends

Did you have a lovely Easter? I hope so. We were Easter egg hunting in the Hamptons, ridiculously competitive and exciting even if you are over 30. It helps that there was cash hidden in the eggs :) I read somewhere that Warehouse, along with some other UK retailers, were planning to launch a new site enabling easier shipping to the US (they currently ship for 10 USD so not bad anyway). In the hope that I didn't just dream it up I thought I would share some of their Spring/Summer 2012 designs. They've fully embraced florals, peplum, colour, tribal and print...I liked...

So Forever 21 opened today in the beloved Kong. Did you see the scrum? Can you cope? Nope. Thought not. So I peeked in the Union Square New York branch for you...and sifted out the good stuff...

(p.s the pics are taken with instagram so some colours are odd - i.e. the pinks look more red - but they are a rocking pink and look fab on so go try them, oh and the blue jacket sold out - its a goodie...oh and the hat selection is really good...oh and check out the peasanty tops...very Isabel Marant...)

I generally can't cope with the Christmas sales. Thankfully some of the best bargains are online. My-Wardrobe (UK-based but deliver everywhere) is one of the best, especially for items from those superbly stylish Scandinavians. Yes, my choices may look mildly morbid but trust me a leather jacket is always a good investment buy, a blazer you will wear forever and the  flapper dress is bang on with the 1920s theme which will be all the rage (I sound like my mother) in 2012....

Mmmm I had mixed feelings about reviewing Jack Wills...it reminds me of these types (very amusing programme by the way)...but I was pleasantly surprised. They are going for a more sophisticated style with their Hong Kong launch. It looks like it is working. I found myself thinking Saturday night and Sunday morning....see what you think...
