everyone in new york is wearing…studs

Big earrings have been out for a while now, replaced by random shapes or pretty Bauble Bar constellations (as seen above on Fashion Me Now). I love wearing these by brvts (which I have featured before), for similar try these at Tiny Armor. I have seen a lot of girls wearing gold safety pins by Catbird, love this web, or you could try something pave by Anna Sheffield or this selection at Madewell. Oh and these are very pretty.

oscars 2015 best dressed

I didn't fall madly in love with any of the dresses this year but these three looks stood out. Sienna in Oscar de la Renta (her make up was incredible, see how Charlotte Tilbury worked her magic here), Marion Cotillard in Dior and Naomi Watts in Armani. Gorgeous x

amelia warner in huishan zhang

Forget Fifty Shades and hotter than ridiculously hot Jamie Dornan. Have you seen his very stylish wife Amelia Warner? I love her red carpet looks. She wears a lot of Huishan Zhang, see here and here. Then she rocks a red lace jumpsuit to his latest film premiere. Love it.

Some looks from the Huishan Zhang SS15 show…

celine campaign with joan didion

Joan and Celine pretty much covered instagram yesterday. And there is my gorgeous Granny Leah, pictured above, who rocked my HK pottinger street ray bans in 2011, years before the Celine gang had even realized it was cool. Leah celebrated her 99th birthday on Sunday. Incredible, still totally beautiful and very funny. We love her lots x

everyone in new york is wearing…

I can't stop posting black and white pics. Anyway, I've seen a lot of culottes at Christmas parties these past few weeks, they look amazing and are great for impromptu lunging/dancing. Obviously. I wore my jumpsuit one with feathers. Someone thought it was Celine but they were probably very drunk. Another friend had a Tibi pair and another girl wore hers with pop socks and cool pointy pumps….lovely. What I really had my eye on though was the leather bow my hairdresser wore (Mai at Bumble & Bumble downtown, amazing colorist), she always always wears black and was rocking this large leather bow around her neck. Great idea, a twist on the 70s blouse look which was all over the catwalks. You could add it to a simple grey t-shirt and wear with skinny trousers or a big skirt like this one (worn by Alex at The Frugality), found these ones on etsy. Great Christmas day outfit?

flora pringle from cracked candy shares her brooklyn tips

The lovely Flora lives in Brooklyn with her babe Bram and clever advertising hub Nick. She has just launched Cracked Candy, a sweet treat which is actually good for your teeth... really???, she's also rather stylish so I asked her to share her fave spots around town...

Restaurant Brucie, a delicious, unfussy italian
Boutique Barney's if I could afford it. I can't so probably Bird and By Brooklyn (for gifts)
Kids the re-developed waterfront piers are incredible, there's a giant sandbox and a great little toddler playground with views of Manhattan
Coffee Cafe Pedlar does great coffee and the best brownie bites I've ever tasted
Beauty sadly I don't have much time for preening, but I get my hair cut at Dvir Salon, they're always super friendly in there and my last stylist bought a tin of candy from me for her toddler son when she heard about Cracked Candy

Lucky for you, I've been quizzing some stylish girlfriends around the globe to share their secret spots in the cities they live. First up, the gorgeous and stylish Annie Taube, Executive Director at Lucky magazine and her New York secrets...

Favourite BoutiqueOpening Ceremony or Kirna Zabete – Love both of these downtown spots – they always give a great easy overview of the season's must-have pieces.  Also love Chuckies as my little neighborhood shoe spot (1073 3rd Avenue) – they have great private label shoes that are perfect for weekend wear…

Bar The Mark Hotel, 22 East 77th Street (fun to meet a group of girls or another couple – always interesting people watching!)

RestaurantPulqueria, 11 Doyers Street (the most amazing mexican food) and fabulous hidden atmosphere in China Town – down a secret stairway - you wouldn't even know it was there!

Coffee SpotBel Ami 30 E 68th Street (best coffee and pastries) hits the spot daily after morning drop off (for my daughter!)

Beauty Haven – Weekly mani/pedi's at Nail Niobe  - 1044 3rd Ave are a must (and they do great back massages too), or any vacation hotel spa (my only free time to get a massage!) Four Season's are the best spas anywhere in the world!
