Bobble hats. Love these merino wool and colourful furry bobbles at Bobbl, this grey one at viaClouds, and I spied this in the kids section at Zara. Bingo.

forever 21 hong kong...opens today

So Forever 21 opened today in the beloved Kong. Did you see the scrum? Can you cope? Nope. Thought not. So I peeked in the Union Square New York branch for you...and sifted out the good stuff...

(p.s the pics are taken with instagram so some colours are odd - i.e. the pinks look more red - but they are a rocking pink and look fab on so go try them, oh and the blue jacket sold out - its a goodie...oh and the hat selection is really good...oh and check out the peasanty tops...very Isabel Marant...)

a little gem on sai street

I love Sai Street in Sheung Wan, I think it is one of the few remaining spots perfect for wandering around. I found a great little vintage store at No.51 ages ago and went back last week to discover even more gems (see below). Vintage hats, jewels, dresses, bags....all sorts. You saw the shoes on Facebook, you loved them but I was so well behaved and didn't purchase, size 39, Camilla Skovgaard...a bargain at HKD1380. They will be having a little Sai Street sale on Sunday 14th, give Ann Hung a call on 9028 9797 for more details. While you are there pop to Sin Sin, then walk to nearby Tung Street and check out Loveramics and the gorgeous flower shop, which unfort I can't recall the name of...useless blogger x

the clemster

So my crush on the Hendry girls and their style continues. Whilst at Rosie and Sevi's (ridiculously amazing) wedding I caught up with her sister Clemmie and had to put this pic on the blog. She looks so 60s chic in her stripe bikini, round glasses and floppy hat. Get the look...bikini from Accessorize (similar one here), sunglasses from Chanel and hat from TK Maxx. Watch out for all things 60s in the coming months, it is set to be a big trend for Autumn/Winter and beyond.

I was reading the twittering from one of my favourite bloggers, Liberty London Girl, when she mentioned the Whistles 20% off promotion with those lovely people at Grazia. Just enter the discount code WHGR20HS11 at the checkout, available until Tuesday 7th June. My picks below...choose from their newly launched swimwear collection, perfect lazy Saturday/Sunday lunch attire or a pretty summer dress...

Correction from Monday's post: Unfortunately Lane Crawford will not be stocking Lucy in Disguise but you can still purchase from Shopbop :)

the perfect hat

I love this look, I bought a similar hat from American Apparel in a stone/grey colour (what a surprise), I'm struggling to find an occasion to wear it, but I will find one, even if I rock around the house in it. Find yours here.

sneak peek

There is a reason why Samantha Cameron made the highly esteemed Vanity Fair International Best-Dressed List 2010, and it could be because she wears Madeleine Thompson. Here's a sneak peek into the Autumn/Winter collection, on sale this Thursday (the one I mentioned last week) at Cat Street Gallery...credit cards at the ready (in fact, please just bring cash or cheques!). p.s. Samantha, I fancy your husband.

the perfect shirt dress

The sun is finally out and I have found the perfect shirt dress for you. Throw it over a bikini at the pool or beach or belt it for lunch in town with the girls. Wear it over skinny jeans with a glam necklace, this one below is by Madewell (J Crew's little sister), but they don't ship here - boo. The shirt dress is from Wanderlust, a designer boutique in Cambodia, set up by New Yorker Elizabeth after she fell in love with the country and moved there. She works with local artists to create gorgeous beachy clothes and accessories, most of which are handmade. And, lucky for us, she ships worldwide. Phew. Have a lovely weekend in the sun x

accessorize land in HK

Very exciting news, Accessorize will land in IFC very soon, having opened in Festival Walk last week. I am always happy to see our trusty UK high street shops come over here, and this one especially... it is a gold mine for last minute hair accessories, brilliant bling and a treasure trove of bangles, clutch bags and quirky necklaces. Watch this space for IFC opening dates...

homesick + hats

I am feeling superbly homesick, I want to be skating at Somerset House ice rink, strolling through Liberty, hugging a mulled wine in a cosy pub and making my cheeks the perfect pink walking in the countryside with my gorgeous Mummy. Moan over. It is finally getting cold here, almost enough to warrant wearing a hat, which is very exciting as I have discovered a stylish milliner. Mademoiselle Slassi is inspired by the eras where hats were part of an outfit. She likes to give timeless shapes a contemporary touch by playing with colours and using feathers and crystals. Each design is unique and she can work on bespoke pieces if required. Contact caugusto@carlaaugusto.com or see some of her designs at Melaine, 37 Cochrane Road, Central. Prices range from HK$1000 to 3000.
