its friday. go naked

I often feel slightly naked when I wear my blush jeans. I love them. I love blush coloured anything. It is the easiest and prettiest colour to mix with this seasons florals and brights. It rocks with black, and grey, and it can't help looking expensive. Get some.

forever 21 hong kong...opens today

So Forever 21 opened today in the beloved Kong. Did you see the scrum? Can you cope? Nope. Thought not. So I peeked in the Union Square New York branch for you...and sifted out the good stuff...

(p.s the pics are taken with instagram so some colours are odd - i.e. the pinks look more red - but they are a rocking pink and look fab on so go try them, oh and the blue jacket sold out - its a goodie...oh and the hat selection is really good...oh and check out the peasanty tops...very Isabel Marant...)

to sale or not to sale

I generally can't cope with the Christmas sales. Thankfully some of the best bargains are online. My-Wardrobe (UK-based but deliver everywhere) is one of the best, especially for items from those superbly stylish Scandinavians. Yes, my choices may look mildly morbid but trust me a leather jacket is always a good investment buy, a blazer you will wear forever and the  flapper dress is bang on with the 1920s theme which will be all the rage (I sound like my mother) in 2012....

Black blazer you'll keep forever - By Malene Birger at My-Wardrobe - GBP 171 (from 245)
Daphne Guinness tastic silver dress - Cos - Euro 125 (from 250)

young british designers

I've been watching these guys at Young British Designers for some time now and I really like their style. They celebrate everything I love (and miss) about unique British style. They ship globally and the collections are updated regularly. If money were no object I'd order...

Love these, a collaboration between Kate Halfpenny (super stylist) and Erin O'Connor.

According to Kate and Erin the inspiration behind the collection is to make "a teasing yet affectionate tickle at the fashion industry we continue to love, honour and serve."

Great yoga bag?

The perfect winter charcoal grey draped dress by Sykes

Lace details are everywhere right now, its refreshing to see it in navy and camel by Irwin & Jordan

I can't decide which I like more...the belt looks awesome with the dress

Giant necklace dress, love it. By Felicity Brown.

Wardrobe staple, black crepe blazer, again by Sykes.

A cosy stylish way to warm up, Sykes camel cashmere hoody.

This Meli Melo tan fringed bag will take you perfectly from winter to spring/summer next year with its strong 70s vibe.

Wedge boots with an edge. Get it? Cosmos boots by Nina Dolcetti.

Stylish, simple and great with or without tights. Nyla by Bionda Castana.

Party shoes. I need them. Black velvet avery shoes by Sophie Gittens.

I am not sure when or where I would wear this stunning dress above, or the one below, but I just love them. Both designed by Felicity Brown.

finders keepers

Two blog posts in one day, I know, I deserve a medal. This ones a gem. roomi is on Staunton Street, number 19. I spotted it and went in, they've got great blazers (around HK$800), jackets, harem trousers, necklaces (LOVE the one below, its HK$690) and lots of cool lights, cushions, interior pieces...la la la...they have some great animal print items too and bow style belts, very now. In summary, its definitely worth popping in and browsing, plus you can ask them for a HK$100 voucher off your first purchase. Have a lovely weekend.

blazered

I promised I would tell you about my new find so here you are, it's hidden at the end of Kau U Fong, the road Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is on, the easiest way to get there is head down the steps next to Homeless interiors store on Gough Street. It's called Atelier de Mode, pic below. The owner Priscilla opened a few weeks ago and has some great stock, on the right there is a whole rail of gorgeous jackets and blazers (priced around HK$700 upwards) from the likes of Elizabeth & James, Philip Lim and Korean labels. On the left there are a whole host of foxy dresses, but I didn't dare look as I had just inhaled the blazer rail. Whoopsadaisy.
