guilt free swapping

keys in the bowl...not really...would be fun though? Ok maybe not. I'm in the UK, well Wales to be exact. It is actually quite nice in Wales, I'm sinking gallons of tea and have just had breakfast outside in the garden, how divine. I'd rather be smashing it up at Glasto of course. Anyhow...I had to exit the garden to let you know about this fab swap shop party taking place next week in Honkers at Il Padrino (just off LKF) on Thursday 2 July at 7pm. The idea is to come along with up to 4 items, in good condition (they will be vetted) and take the opportunity to swap your old clothes for new ones, whilst drinking wine and chatting with friends. You must have some bobby dazzlers in the back of the wardrobe that you never quite wore. Well here's the chance to swap them for something new without the guilt and credit card dramas. It's only $100 on the door which includes one free drink and tasty snacks. Josie is the brains and the beauty behind this idea and you can contact her on 65070732 or Josieilpadrino@gmail.com. Watch out for the article in the SCMP tomorrow. Mucho love from the valleys, I'm off to get another cuppa.

pop up

Kanch is a wonder, she's come up with a new pop up art and fashion gig called “72 Hours”, an impeccably cool collaboration between luxe women’s wear label Kanchan Couture and ufoArtgallery, supported by the lovely, trendy people at TimeOut Magazine. It's easy to pop in to the pop up... because it will be in the heart of Central, 39 Graham street. “72 Hours” will treat you to limited edition collections of clothing, art and accessories. They open the doors at 10am on Friday, 26th June until Sunday, 28th June 6:30pm. As the sun sets, each day will bring about a brief interlude of creative events...

girl friday

HK has a new boutique. UMA MIY. A rather funny name which I am sure is meant to be super cool but I am simply not cool enough to get it. Anyhow, their multi-brand shop is offering exclusive distribution of some of the most exciting, emerging designer labels on the planet. To launch they will be hosting a public sale of their SS09 collection at 30% off on Friday June 19. They have some Josh Goot lovelies from Australia, Sunshine and Shadow silk shirt dresses from US designer Lily Raskind which are ideal for the summer, and uber cool label Among Strangers which is perfect for achieving the "power chick by day/fox at night" look. Love it. See you there.

naughty

I know I've been an awful, useless blogger recently. I saw this and it inspired me to post today. If lovely Susie style bubble can get into The Times then darling so will I, even if it ends up being when I am 84 (when I know, although droopy, I will still love fashion just like my dear Granny does...she has a metallic handbag you know...). So its getting hot in Honky Tonk. I've had to use a hideous amount of fake tan (St Tropez everyday or moose fyi) and my legs are still a manky shade of pale. We need to start looking svelte for the lazy days at the pool, we need shorts like those adorned by Kate Moss, we need seriously expensive swimwear and we need colour. So, head to Sabina Swims for crunch friendly but expensively looking bikinis and swimsuits. Go to our trusty (but never crusty) fave Zara for short short short denim shorts and bright sky blue kaftan style shirts to team with bright pinky red scarves. And get naked. Now.
