a little birdie told me...

...that Reiss is opening in Times Square underneath French Connection. Feast your eyes on the divine dresses in store. No need for Christmas party dressing dilemma's now Missy. I'll let you know when it opens.

bag some style honey

If you currently lug around a manky looking rucksack with gym kit in, or even worse, a plastic bag, it is time for an upgrade. Stylish cotton bags as seen on the arm of Miss Moss and other trend setters are statements in their own right. They look good but aren't trying too hard. Check out Rebecca Taylor's sparkly version in her Wyndham Street store for HK$80. No excuse now is there.

new silver shoes take their first outing

Headline news, obviously. They went down a storm. Striking a balance between pretty and foxy the new shoes, teamed with a sparkly vintage style Topshop dress, made their first showing on Saturday night at a glam roof top wedding reception. They are Kurt Geiger specials, I can't find them on the website, so if I were you I'd ask a lovely London friend to pop into their Brook Street shop and grab you a pair. Perfect with slim cut jeans or dresses, not too sky high and shimmering in silver and gold they meet, greet and relish the challenge of matching everything in your wardrobe.

overdosed on IFC, PP and TST?

Why not escape the gleaming, and sometimes slightly sterile, shopping malls and experience a little bit of treasure before it disappears. Pocket Venus are going totally wholesale in HK so the shop is closing. You need to change into your flip flops and move that pert little booty down to the showroom before the jewelled, sparkling, colourful and frankly, unique pieces are snapped up by some mad old lady with a large fashion habit. Oh and there's a SALE too. Bargain shoes, dresses and very silky, sexy shirts in boootiful bright blue with poppers for easy access...and, if that isn't enough for you, a to-die-for silver jacket in the new collection. Taxi!!!

evil rumours

Noise of Massimi Dutti and Reiss opening stores in HK is rippling amongst the pencil skirt clad crew. It is frankly distressing not knowing exactly when, where and what time, as one needs to allocate enough space on the credit card for such an exciting spending spree. I appeal to those MD and Reiss people to come forward and enlighten us poor young women.

shhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooeeeeeeeesssssssss

Remember the feeling you used to get in sweet shops? Mother giving you 10p, and within seconds you are delving into plastic tubs filled with Rhubarb and Custard, Lemon Sherberts and Dip Dabs....mmm. Of course, now we are grown up, sophistictaed and classy. Our Cola Bottles are Manolo's and our Liquorice Wheels get re-heeled after big nights out. Our sweet shops are now shoe shops, and my god I know some good ones in HK to satisfy a variety of cravings. If you want high quality, designer looking (if you get my meaning) and made to fit, check out LII LII Couture in Admiralty Centre (+852 2136 9739). Alan Chan knocks up pairs pretty sharpish (2/3 days is the record) and they last, mine have battled many a dancefloor and survived. If your heart desires more of a 10p-style fix then go to Vickie's, 3 Queen Victoria Street in Central (+852 2525 6402). A friend found this little haven of colourful pumps and LK Bennett type sling backs. Prices range from HK$250 - 500, meaning you can, of course, buy every colour. Enjoy!
