sweet spot
Every city has a sweet spot, a cute little street where you can potter about looking in windows, sipping coffee and dreaming you can afford all the divine things in the shops. London's sweetest street is Marylebone High Street, Sydney has William Street (just off the Oxford Street end) and NYC's is still for me to discover, but I do love to get lost in ABC. I found HK's sweet spot tucked away off Hollywood Road. Sai Street has some of the cutest houses (check out the very stylish dark purple one), birds tweeting everywhere, a strange naked man who lives on a balcony, a fabulous vintage store which I can't remember the name of (on the right hand side, sells great vintage dresses, hats and bags) and of course the stunning Sin Sin Atelier. Sin Sin is as glam as her gallery. Her clothing designs are very cool and edgy, and her statement jewellery - clear bracelets with chunks of silver and gold on them, unusual necklaces, funky eye wear - rocks. Sweet.
