Lane Crawford has some fantastic sale stuff at the moment. The boy (I know, the sartorially challenged one) bagged a designer linen mix suit for HK$5,000, down from it's original hefty price tag of HK$12,000. Wey hey, for that we'll ignore the fact he referred to Diane von Furstenberg as "DVD". Bless. I accidentally swung a right into Nine West today and found a delicious strawberry ice cream coloured pair of platform peep toes a la Christian Louboutin for HK$229!!!!!!! That's less than lunch at the Mandarin Cafe....the excitement of it all is far too much, I need to go and lie down.

Ever hit the sales and seen the perfect top, only to discover it's the last one and a size 18? Eaten too many pies and need your trousers widened? Ever loved the dress but it's needed a nip and tuck to look perfect? Lydia to the rescue. Honestly the woman is a genius. You don't even have to speak and she works away with pins all over your clothing, tucking things there, changing a hem, shortening an arm and hey presto you look like Elle Macpherson. She understands women's bodies. Hallelujah you cry. She knows how to make you look thinner, taller and basically like a complete fox. I am clearly not the only one who thinks this, her room is packed with Hong Kong's most glamorous people's wardrobes. If you have an emergency it's best to call first on 2522 5788. Bali rocks. Great beaches, hot surfers, glamorous restaurants and bars and a lot of top shopping opportunities. Jalan Raya Seminyak, in (you guessed it) Seminyak, is a very long road jam packed with gorgeous boutiques which you could easily spend a day getting lost in. I'm not too hot with numbers so I could have got the exchange rate completely wrong, but everything seemed pretty reasonably priced. Lily Jean has divine silk dresses in champagne, black, red and turquoise which my fellow surf dudes and I snapped up fairly quickly. Lulu stocks glitzy tops, floaty cream smocks and designer-looking jersey dresses which could be glammed up or down with jewellery, heels, you know the drill...so, scruffy, ditch the jeans and pop to:

Honestly, the furore around this Anya Hindmarch number has been phenomenal. It sold out within hours in the US and London stores saw queues round the corner from 6am and girly elbow fights. Well the time has come folks, tomorrow the bag arrives in Hong Kong, landing on our shopping mad shores and no doubt causing mayhem to rival the H&M opening.
